I am loving being pregnant (most days) but goodness I am hot all the time! Alex is coming to Austin in August and I have been trying to think of things we can do that don't cost much and are more fun then sitting at home all day.

This place is only $15 a person and they let you bring your own food. I know Schlitturbahn is probably better but I can't ride the 'fun rides' there so I think I would rather go here and pay less to sit in the lazy river!! Its about 2.5 hours away but maybe some of his Houston friends can come up for the day also.

4th of July Fun

We went to the parade on Main St. in Round Rock. It was fun for the first 30 minutes and then it got super hot!


Lola even got in on the 4th of July action!

We went swimming when we got home which was great after a hot morning at the parade!

This is Gregory and mines favorite game to play!!!! Hullabaloo!!! He pretty much always manages to win but its still fun.

We fought the traffic and went to Austin for the fireworks and music at Lake Austin. They said 100,000 people comes down for this event. It was good but also probably the last time I go for a while. It was very loud and crowded and next July 4th Makenzie will be 9 months old and not interested in staying still or on a small blanket for any amount of time. Crazy to start thinking about things in terms of if Makenzie could do it or not :o)

Nursery Decorations

I saw some letters that looks similar to these at Hobby Lobby a few weeks ago.  They wanted 8.99 for EACH letter.  With a baby that holds 8 letters in her name, $72 was not gonna happen for decorations. So I moseyed on back to the unfinished wood section and got the letters for $2 a piece, a pack of scrapbook paper for $9 and the yellow flowers for $3. 

The letters took about 3 days to complete but my mom and I only worked on the periodically. I added picture hangers to the back and when/if we get the room painted I will hang them up over the crib.  

Alex wins good fiancee points this morning!

For Valentines Day 2007 I put balloons in Alex's car that all had a piece of tiny paper that had reasons why I loved him.  After he popped all the balloons we took the tiny papers and made a colage out of them and he has it hanging in his room.  

This morning he sent me a picture of one of the reasons I loved him. You can't see it all but it says "I love you because you text me first thing in the morning." Sometimes he pulls cute little things out off and it makes being so far away from each other a little better. 

12 Oaks Ranch

This is a strong candidate for mine and Alex's wedding in the spring.  We are looking into a end of March/April wedding and this place seems almost too good to be true. 

I love the paper lanterns in the ceiling of the pavilion. I would want to find red and aqua ones of course!

All of the table, chairs, linens, and dishes come with the package :)
I like the stone isle runner at the ceremony location. I think its really pretty for outdoor weddings. 

My mom and I are going to go out and look at this ranch next week! I will keep you updated!
