It's my 100th post!!!! Brandi be proud!

Miss Brandi is the lady who got me hooked on blogging. First it was wedding detail and then Makenzie details and soon it will be a little of both again, as Alex and I get ready to start planning wedding stuff again in the coming months! So thanks Brandi and heres to another 100 post!

Now back to the baby update! We have been here at RR Hospital for about 4 hours and my bum is num! They stuck me in a bed and are pretty reluctant to let me up. With it being an induction they feel the need (for some medical reason I am sure) to keep me hooked up to monitors and in bed. The contractions are about 5 minutes apart and sometimes they hurt a lot and sometimes they don't. This last contraction is in my back and HOLY MOLY I am not a fan of that! The visitor list is starting and the nurses are I'm sure very pleased with that :O) Matt and Lori and the girls have been by, my mom and Emily came after that for a while, and then Avery and Ashley came up after that to bring Alex some Jack in The Box. He was in heaven!

The nurse just came back in and game me Ambien so I could sleep tonight! Whoohoo! Good night y'all! If anything good happens I will let you know!

Today is the day....kinda

Going to the hospital tonight at 6 to get the show on the road. The first 12 hours of medicine is not going to start anything fun but tomorrow morning the they drip the pitocin the party is on like donkey kong! Just hanging out today with Alex and doing last minute cleaning and laundry so the house is a little decent when we come home on Saturday.

one

ONE MORE DAY! Today was pretty relaxed. I took Lola to get bathed and groomed before her week at Matt and Lori's house. I figure I will have a full house with all the visitors that are calling to make plans to come either to the hospital, to the house, or both.....so Lola is gonna have a week vacation (if I can stand for her to be gone that long) at the Hatfields.

Not sure how I feel about the amount of visitors that have planned to come to town or to the hospital/house but I also don't feel like there is much I can do about it at this point. But VISITORS BE AWARE I will spray you with lysol, pour antibacterial all over you and take your temperature, and there will be NO kissing or touching Makenzie's face! The doctor has got me pretty neurotic about the flu and other sicknesses at this point if you can't tell. I couldn't even imagine how much more hard the first few weeks would be if she was sick on top of just being new.

My mom and I went to Steak and Shake for lunch...no need to go back there for another year :o(

Now I'm back home and in bed. I have had uncomfortable contractions since last night but nothing strong or even painful at this point, but I can definitely feel them.

Alex's flight gets to Austin at 6:30 tonight and Makenzie is more than welcome to make her debut any time after that, the sooner the better because he has to go back to Lubbock for school on Tuesday morning. That is something to pray for also, the time away is gonna be hard but it is by far the most important thing that Alex finish school and get his degree so thats the sacrifice we are gonna roll with. It will only be about 6 weeks of us apart after Makenzie is here so pray for the time to fly!

UPDATE: uno.....DOS

Went to the doctor and somehow managed to get in and out in only 35 minutes! And that included a 20 minute Non Stress Test! After you pass your due date they want to make sure that the baby is moving and reacting to their heart rate. They hooked me up to a monitor that charted the babies heart rate and when I felt her move I pressed a button and that somehow went on the chart also. The nurse came in and checked the paper about 1/2 way through and said "Ohhh your having a contraction. Can't you feel that?" UMMMM NO! I had no clue I was having any type of movement let alone a contraction. After that test the doctor came in a checked me and I am still not dilated or making any other types of progress so the induction date is still set for Wednesday night at 6 o'clock. This is great news!

On a less fun note: Alex woke up this morning feeling crummy ;o( pray for him to stay healthy and not get sick during this week that he is here in Austin.

uno......DOS!

nothing new over the night time hours....

I have a doctors appointment today at 2 o'clock and will see if we have made any progress but I do not feel like anything has changed. I am going to go to my nephew's school today and eat lunch with him and then maybe go eat with my niece or just go pick her up from school for a fun afternoon at grandmas. I will update after my appointment this afternoon. PEACE!

3 is a sleepy number

  • Makenzie's movement has slowed down considerably. (this is normal)
  • I am sooooo tired, sleep doesn't happen anymore because my lower body goes numb after laying down in any position for 30 minutes.
  • It has got hot again here in Round Rock after 2 weeks of great cool weather, that might be another reason to be tired.
  • I went grocery shopping for some dinner ideas and snacks for at the hospital and for easy things to cook when we get home from the hospital.
  • Going to my brothers softball game tonight @ 7:30! Whoohoo!
  • I had planned on staying in bed all day today....that didn't happen, not by a loooooong shot. FOR REAL tomorrow I am staying in bed!

4 days

I know this is rotten ^^^^ but I need a little humor!
So today is my due date and no baby is coming yet! This really is a blessing though because Alex won't be here until Tuesday night at 6:30 so keep praying that Makenzie holds out until then at least. It was a weird feeling this morning to wake up and think "HMMMM today is finally September 26th but something isn't how I thought it would be." It is a little funny that for some reason today it seems to have got 100 times harder to walk, move, sit, stand, roll over, just about anything seems to be harder :O) I know it is probably all mental though. We are down to 4 days before induction, but I do go to the doctor on Monday afternoon and if she indicated that I have made any progress we might see about moving the induction to start on Tuesday night when Alex gets here, but I doubt that will happen.
