Makenzie watched her first...

Stripper dance!

I know I know! CRAZY BAD MOMMY!

Actually it is kinda funny. My family watched movies on Christmas day and didn't get out of our pajamas all day! We watched The Proposal as some point in the day and Makenzie and I were playing on the floor. The TV was behind her head and we were laying at such an angle that she couldn't see it. As soon as Oscar the stripper got on stage Makenzie twisted her big ol' head and watched! I'm pretty sure she was listening to the music but it makes for a good story!

Hope you all had a good holiday!

Meet Johnny

Johnny is Makenzie's new elf! He came from the North Pole to watch Makenzie and help her be good. But at this point she is always good so Johnny's job is pretty easy :0) Tonight Johnny told me he was going to hide in the sugar jar to scare my mom in the morning :o)

It's a great feeling to start new fanily traditions with my new little family.

Stupid Paul

Well I had a fantastic trip to the HEB on Luis Henna/Greenlawn. And by fantastic I mean super crappy!

I enjoy stopping by the cook stations at HEB when I'm not in a hurry to get my shopping done. Typically the people are nice and the food is tasty. That was not the case today!

Paul is mean. Simple enough. When I walked up to his kiosk he asked what I wanted. I replied "Well I'd like to try some of that stuff." and gestured toward the food bowls he had in front of him. I did not see this as a crazy request, as it is his job to provide samples of the food they are trying to sell. Grumpy Paul snapped back with "That stuff huh?" as if he was offended I didn't know what he had cooked. I ate the sample (which happened to be good) and told my mom who had walked up "Ya the food is good but that guy is a jerk." Apparently I can't wisper and
Stupid Paul has good hearing. He said "Ya thanks for that complament."

Oops!

But seriously, it's not like I called the food "stuff" to Martha Stewart or someone that's a real cook, Jerk Paul is an all time sample man. I guess I would be grumpy too.

Our Schedules Are Off!

Good Morning! Rise & shine & give God the glory glory. Rise & shine & give God the glory glory. Sing praises to our Lord.

It's 5:47am and Makenzie is in full swing :0( The last two days Makenzie has had some tummy issues. The out pipes were backed up on Sunday so we gave her some apple juice. That sure corrected that problem. But, on Monday her tummy hurt again. Maybe too much apple juice? Not really sure. So yesterday she cried off and on (mostly on) from about 2 in the afternoon until 7 in the evening. Thank God for grandmas that will take a turn holding crying baby and give mommy a break every once in a while! Around 7 she finally went to sleep. She cried through her naps yesterday so I'm sure she was super tired. I sure as heck didn't wake the finally sleeping baby even though I knew it was way too close to bed time. And now it's 5:55 in the morning and I'm watching Makenzie play with her toys in her crib.

Joyful times of motherhood!

Job

I got a job. I'm glad to finally have a job and I am really grateful that the Lord has provided. The hours kinda suck but I'm just gonna figure out how to make it work. I will work Sat, Sun, Wed, & Thurs from 6pm-4;30am. This is the same job that I had back in September with the Department of Family and Protective Services. I start the 7 week training class on January 18 and that schedule is M-F 9-5;30 and after the 7 weeks I will start the other shift. Time to look for childcare. Whoohoo

Bow Making Greatness!

Tonight Makenzie slept from about 4:30 on through the evening. She woke up to eat but went right back to sleep. This allowed me to play in my bow making box! 3 Christmas bows and 1 New Years bow were finished while watching 'Four Christmas's'. I still have a frosty bottle cap to use but I want to get some silver, white, and blue ribbon for that one. Also, I have some round Christmas buttons I want to use and some tiny jingle bells. I think I will probably make 3 more Christmas bows this weekend! Fun Fun Fun!

Success!

I love them!

Baby Mak and Lola

It never fails that as soon as I put down a blanket for Makenzie to lay on Lola runs to it and plops right down like she belongs there. So tonight Makenzie had been in the car seat running errands with us for a while so I figured that she wanted to lay down and stretch out. Where better to do that than underneath the Christmas tree!

Too freaking funny!

The two most technicaly challenged people I know just got instincts. I am in trouble!
My mom and step-dad are too funny!

Baby Laugh

This little sleeping girl just had the biggest grin on her face and let out a single giggle while she was asleep. P I think a fairy was just born! (that's what tinker bell says I think)
